Springtime Refresh and Renew

April 11, 2018

Hello everyone,

It's springtime – that beautiful season of the year when we enjoy longer days, soak up long-awaited sunshine, recharge our energy and rebalance our lives.

For many, spring stirs a desire to shake things up a bit. Are you thinking of making a job or career change? Are you primed for a promotion? There's no better time than right now to refresh your résumé, give your LinkedIn some new love, spiff up your social media and polish your interviewing skills.

Over the next few months, we'll be featuring interviews with career coaching experts who will help you reboot your personal branding. Your résumé, LinkedIn, social and those all-important interviewing skills all need to be congruent with how you see yourself, how others see you – and how you want to be seen.

When potential employers and clients look at all these pieces, and when they meet you in person - they need to see your value proposition, insight and point of view. And they need to recognize that you have the critical thinking skills and the creativity to move their groups and their organizations forward.

We begin this month with an interview with Executive Coach Carrie Cahill on her favorite résumé tips.

You can meet Carrie in person – and have her review your résumé live – at my Create the Career (and Life) You Deserve workshop at 1440 Multiversity. This Watermark Weekend for Women is open to all women. It's set for September 14-16 in beautiful Scotts Valley, just a bit south of San Jose. I hope you'll join us.

Also, thank you for returning your 2018 Best Year Intentions worksheets. I look forward to checking in with you on those this summer. If you haven't yet filled out the worksheet – it's not too late. I'd love to see what you're working toward and help you achieve success.

Peace and blessings,

Charmaine McClarie
