Next Month: Create the Career (and Life) You Deserve

August 8, 2018

Hello from London! I'm absolutely delighted to write to you from this lovely city where I presented Speak Up, Stand Out, Be Heard! to Gilead, one of my favorite clients.

Among my topics: How do you want to be seen, how do others see you and how do you bridge the gap? Once you establish that, you'll find yourself having greater visibility and not only will you survive any change coming your way - you'll thrive from it.

One of the highlights of my London engagement was the pleasure of meeting The Right Honorable Lord Paul Boateng (middle, bottom). Lord Boateng has had a wonderful career in Parliament and beyond as a trailblazer for social and economic justice, particularly in the U.K. and South Africa.

I've been seeing a tremendous amount of change among executives and organizations over the past many months. People are reshaping their focus, companies are restructuring and so many of my clients are making significant career moves - it's all so exciting and so rewarding to see.

If you, too, are looking to make a career change, I recommend to you what I recommend to all of my clients: Think deeply and clearly about what you want to be different in your career and in your life going forward. You don't want to leave something only to end up in the exact same circumstance but in a different office with a different view. Think about how your next move will lead you to where you ultimately want to be.

And bring something new to the table. If there's something that hasn't been working for you, now is the time to fix it. What skills do you need to add to your portfolio so that you show up as your best self? And how do you best describe and represent the value you bring to the table?

I have a great opportunity for you - an entire weekend where you can focus on these career and life essentials and more. I invite you to attend Create the Career (and Life) You Deserve, a Watermark Weekend for Women, Sept. 14-16, at 1440 Multiversity in Scotts Valley, Calif. I promise you, it will change your life. Read on for details. I truly hope you'll join us.

Peace and blessings,

Charmaine McClarie
