Watermark Weekend: New Speakers Added

I’m thrilled to announce the additions of Carrie Cahill and Denise Brosseau to Create the Career (and Life) You Deserve, a Watermark Weekend for Women.

As I’ve mentioned in past newsletters, our interactive weekend of reflective self-discovery takes place Sept. 14-16 at the beautiful 1440 Multiversity, the nation’s newest and most exciting learning destination nestled in the redwoods of Scotts Valley, just 15 minutes south of San Jose.

Here’s a great opportunity to:
  • Redefine your value and increase your brand equity
  • Learn best practices for your resume and LinkedIn profile
  • Experiment with transforming interviews into meaningful and memorable conversations that land you the job
  • Expand your network and sphere of influence
  • Create a go-forward plan that you can start using immediately
You read about Carrie and her resume expertise earlier this year. Our weekend features her Resume ReCode: Telling Your Best Story in Just One Page workshop, where she’ll share her insights on the role of resumes today, how to best capture your career experiences and the value you offer – and where you’re going in the future. Our ultimate goal: for your resume readers to see that you’re the perfect fit for the role you’re applying for – and that you’ll easily be promoted on up the career ladder.

Denise is the CEO of the Thought Leadership Lab, where she works with leaders and their teams to accelerate their journey from leader to thought leader.
Denise co-founded Watermark 25 years ago – it was then known as the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs – and she remains one of the most popular lecturers at Stanford Business School on topics of credibility and thought leadership. During our Watermark Weekend, Denise will share her expertise and best practices in her Leveraging LinkedIn: Amplify Your Thought Leadership workshop.

In her book, Ready to Be a Thought Leader?, Denise outlines how to use her seven-step process to expand your influence, increase your professional success, make an impact far beyond a single organization and industry and ultimately leave a legacy that matters.

“The key to this conversation is to have a niche that you own,”Denise says. “To be a thought leader, you have to figure out what your niche is, why people should believe in you and then highlight a future you want to bring about.”

Both Denise and Carrie’s workshops will be highly interactive with plenty of time for you to apply their strategies to your own career – and your own life.

Spend the weekend with fascinating, like-minded women as you use the final few months of the year to your advantage. Add to that daily yoga, meditation, massage, hiking, infinity pool, farm-to-table cuisine and you’ve got a world-class retreat that’s all about you! You deserve it!
